Altadena Academy of Music

Altadena Academy of Music is Altadena's premier music academy serving our communities in Pasadena, Altadena, and others since 2003. With over 4,500 students of all ages that have attended music lessons at the Academy, we pride ourselves on providing fun and engaging music lessons for kids and adults of all levels. Our highly-qualified teachers, all with Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees provide training in voice, piano, guitar, drums, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, recorder and a variety of other instruments.

Whether your interest is pop, classical, jazz, or rock, Altadena Academy of Music is an excellent choice for beginning through advanced level students, including the optional preparation for MTAC Certificate of Merit Exams.

Beginning students achieve a solid foundation including how to read music, the fundamentals of rhythm, and creative exploration through composition, improvisation, and performance.

Advanced students can perfect their musicianship, and prepare for concerts, competitions, and auditions. All students are encouraged to perform at optional recitals offered throughout the year and our professional, university-trained teachers take great care in preparing students for the recitals. New students receive a complimentary welcome package and tote bag!
